JHA pipes

i have a set of jha chambers and they are starting rust and need a new lease on life. just had the dents done and was now thinking of haveing them chromed. i would get inside and out done. is this wize or what other solutions are there Question thanks

powdercoat Question
i have Johnson pipes on my 21SP and i am gonna get them powdercoated this winter, damn site cheaper than chroming.

what colour? doesnt chroming help airflow inside the pipes?

to chrome the insides wont you have to split the pips open Question

sorry,when i asked about mine they never said anything about the insides but as they are dipped in chrome i think they could do the insides as well Confused

i only asked if they could do them and never got round to asking the price but they did say that chroming would be the best treatment for exhausts,im not going to get my stock ones done now im going to wait to martin makes some for sale and get them done.

I had these nickel plated no problems, same process as chrome, just one extra step for chrome plate. Chrome is going to be on the inside because they have too submerged them in a bath and it has to fill the inside too make them sink. Cost me about $100 USD, no polishing, just stripped the paint with light glass bead sand blast. I work in chrome for 7 years, nasty stuff, still deal with chrome platers to this day. just got my pipes back from the chromer and they look awsome Very Happy Very Happy guy did a great job on them. cost NZ$200 (about 80 Pounds) for everything including polishing.

powder coats no good for pipes, its a plastic and melts at the down pipe.

yeh that melts it onto the surface to be coated. take it from me monkey i have a set of powder coated pipes, it melts. and its a sod to get it off again Evil or Very Mad
