I will still need a mc28 . I will see mybe I will get a hrc jet kit and nice pipes before the mc28
It will be nice to have a full power bike from the get go
No matter what Andy says, a setup HRC kitted MC28 is sweet. I got lucky and picked one up that was run in the series at Suzuka. Made good power and was easy to "tune" with a switch of the key card...
That and switching the rear tire was simple as can be.

Hey! What are you saying?!
Actually, I agree... I've never not agreed. My argument, backed up by data, is that a like-for-like '28 is not as good as a '21 [or '18] in the engine department. It's just fact. Those "in the know", could also tell you the chassis isn't as good as the '21, but they remain diplomatically silent. To me, and most people, the chassis wouldn't make any difference, but it's not so for someone who knows what do with one professionally!
No-one's going to dispute that an HRC kitted MC28 isn't a great bike, or even that an MC28 (personally I like the Rothmans and the '94 white/blue SE) isn't a lovely looking bike. _________________ Andy.

Since there are maybe 5 or so people who own NSR's and can ride them to the limit to find the "flaws" with the MC28 swing arm (over the MC21), I think it's not a big deal
Even with a setup MC28, it still wasn't making the power to really get that swing arm out of shape coming out of corners. Now if I were to put the RS engine into that chassis? Sure, it would have twisted that swing arm all up.
I found out very quickly that I couldn't get on the RS hard at the apex like I could with the NSR MC28 (or MC21 for that matter). The NSR was such an easier bike to ride then the RS but the RS was much more fun (that damn front wheel was so hard to keep on the ground ).
A big hole in the headstock isn't conducive to good handling either!
At the end of the day, for me, there are too many things against an MC28 to justify owning one over an MC21. I am glad I couldn't afford one in 1994, knowing what I know now. However, knowing what I know now, I can make one go rather well... almost as well as an MC21!
My point was that it's good to see Yuri is so enthusiastic in buying parts before the bike, and so optimistic that he will getting one soon! Not that he was buying HRC parts in a quest to make it perform! An MC28 is a bloody expensive investment these days, in anyone's money.
I was optimistic and enthusiastic about my MC21... I bought it before I'd even got my license. It was sat in the garage waiting for me, and was a bit of a talking point at the test centre that I had an NSR250 and no license! Luckily I got my license in the last days of the [relatively] easy times, before stepped licensing came in, and the costs spiralled. A 3-day intensive course and £150 saw me armed with with the bit of paper that allowed me to ride anything, "2-up", over 125cc/12hp! _________________ Andy.
