HRC card problem help!!

Fri Jul 01, 2005 1:56 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi
I just cut the wirless to match HRC card, when everything done, HRC card put in, it shows SP about 1 mins, i was so happy... But I can not start to engine, I tool the plug to check, there's no fire at all, that's why I could not start the engine. Don't know why.. also I connect 3 lines back to stock wire, then its start.
I plan to have HRC card and stock switched, I only cut 3 lines, then I check the Wire Splice,I did not cut the green light to connect the other 3 line at 4th step( only cut light green/ red. green/pink. green/white) I don't know if that's becasue of the reason. can some one help me.

appreciate.

Connect the wires that are on the gauge side to the ground wire. You probably have the other side connected. How do I know? Because I did the same thing. Embarassed

Hi
Could you please clearly describe it... do you mean the Guage side is white connector or same as the black connector. is that green line(ground)?

Thanks

The wires that have been cut, closest to the plug need to be connected to the green ground wire.

I haven't actually run it on the road yet but I believe the stock jetting should be OK. Invigiator has been running stock jetting and he says it's OK. You just need to make sure you have the stock jetting.

No no no no no no no NO one last time it is categorically not OK to just stick the HRC card in and cross your fingers, nor is it OK to change anything else and just hope for the best.

The HRC card advances the timing and will allow more load to be placed on the engine, detonation is more likely with it than without it.

The stock '28 jetting is Honda's safe setting for all conditions so somewhere in the world that my well be the correct jetting for an HRC card or maybe even pipes etc. the whole shbang, elsewhere it may be quite close to the edge anyway.

Re. cgallant changed his '21 pipes and it ran fine for 6 months on standard jets, Dave Ett tried the same trick and got about 2 miles up the road.............

Today at apex fetching the '28 back even jo wouldn't say for sure that my jetting was right, she said it should be "very safe" (very rich then) but she did visably flinch when I said how I seized it last time (flat on the stop in 6th!) and advised I try to aviod that situation in the first place.
