Oil Pump setup?

Wed Mar 25, 2009 2:52 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Just converting back to oil injection on the '16, and setting the pump up I have hit a bit of a snag. In the workshop it states that the mark on the oil pump pulley should line up with the triangle on the body, but on mine its gone way past the mark by the time it gets to full throttle, even with the cable set to the slackest. Any ideas?

Thanks
Paul

This just made me check mine as I am running the same setup. I thought the mark above the stop was the index mark not the the mark at the front of the pulley.
I've just slackened my cable and it's no where near the mark.
What do you guys suggest?

Pretty smoky, I've slackened it right off and I'm about to kick it over again to balance the carbs. I'll see how that is.
At full throttle it sits roughly in the middle of the two marks.
Confused
