Sun Oct 12, 2008 3:40 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Looking at gadgets and gizmos to wack on the NSR on the Tyga site and I saw this thingy:

Product Name: GPS Blank Plug
Motorcycle Model: MC18/21/28
Part Number: TYLY-0014

Without..... "It's a plug that blanks the GPS" :p What does it do? What is the result of this mod?

The HRC racing harness has no plug for the GPS. I'm not sure the results of unpluging with the stock harness.

Surely this is just a plug to go where the neutral sensor is?
This is something quite fancy on a '21 as the PGM needs to know what gear the bikes in.
On an '18 and '28 it's just a wire, I snipped mine off on the race bike Wink

If that's the case it's of use if you're doing a tidy job on a race bike and don't need a GPS.

Unplug the neutral wire on a stock carded '28 and it won't run in gear (will it Tom?).
It looks the same for a normal loom and PGMIII'd '21 (as the neutral wire goes back to the PGM), on an '18 it just means the neutral light stays on.

To be honest Stace i've never tried or looked. Not sure how it'll function without the neutral.

So, your memory is that good eh?

Think about it, GT..the 300...std card....

actually, I don't understand how it can be, but I do remember it stalling every time you put it in gear.

In fact I do now, my mistake, side stand switch....
