MC18SP R6K dyno after wire splice

Mon Jan 30, 2017 11:33 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I have a R6K with a wire splice and it came up with 50hp at the rear wheel. Questions....I have questions.... Smile

1. Is that about what is to be suspected?

2. If I wanted to get some more power but not ruin engine life would pipe be my next purchase? If so what pipes? and then what jets with those pipes should I start with?

3. Is there a airbox mod or anything for these bikes?

The power curve looks almost perfect so the jetting seems to be spot on.

Never checked them. The bike has 3700km on it, starts easy, runs great. I made the assumption compression was good.

What's the proper way to check the compression? I've never done it on this type of motor.
