R2J RC valve set up

Fri Jan 13, 2017 4:44 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Just braved the snow up to the shed to set up my rc valves. As with all nsr jobs I do a 15min job turns into a 2 hour head scratching session Confused . I followed the instructions for rc valve set up but when diconnected the TPS the servo did not cycle to high position as suggested. I pulled the TPS off and checked resistance and was in normal range as per the manual. I had a look around the forum and a post suggested the r2j servo does not rotate when TPS is disconnected? I checked the r2j supplement in the manual and rc valve set up requires engine to be run till servo goes to high then shut down and insert a 3mm screw to stop it turning While cables are adjusted. I haven't run my engine yet so can I just turn servo manually to high then adjust cables? I am running all standard r2j electrics, PGM1, RC controller and sub controller. Thanks

As I recall, turn the servo by hand (with ignition off) and insert the 3mm pin into the servo pulley. Then using the cable adjusters align the marks on the back plate and pulleys on each cylinder. Remove the 3mm pin before turning on the ignition.
