mc28 tail fairing plastic window

Wed Oct 08, 2014 9:19 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Just wondering where to find a replacement for the little plastic window on the right hand side of the tail piece that covers the brake reservoir etc? Mines all cracked and split.

Thanks

So I ordered the part using the diagram and part number from this site and after waiting 6 weeks I received a 1cm long piece of foam with double sided sticky tape on it Sad

Can anyone confirm the part number of this piece please so I can reorder?

Ah thanks for that. So that would be part 12 on the diagram I ordered part 11.

The main [opening] page of the Online Parts Manual quite clearly states:

Quote: This online version is for reference only, and all part numbers should be cross-referenced with an official Honda dealer.

Not the fault of the online manual I just ordered the wrong part as it looks like part 11 on the diagram but it's not unfortunately

There are quite a few errors, and I will try to fix them as they are pointed out... but there's about 600 pages to check in total!

Always cross-check the numbers with a genuine microfiche (Honda dealers should all have them -- they were issued back in the mid-late 90s, despite the bikes being grey market!) or a genuine hard copy of the parts manual.

NSR-WORLD is based at a Honda Main Dealer now (GT Motorcycles in Plymouth), so can supply any parts [that haven't been discontinued] at official Honda prices.

mydogtaz was bang on with the price: £7.64inc VAT. There will be postage on any part(s) remember, unless you can walk in to a Honda parts department of course!

I we can help, drop me an e-mail or PM with a list. The guys in the GT parts department will only ask me or Steve anyway, so easier to ask me first and save a step! GT's are relatively new to NSR parts sales too, and not set up with hard copies of the parts books yet. Steve and I just wander in there and tell them the numbers we're after them ordering for us!
