I have found the following for sale, thread title is slightly misleading as i know its some kind of de-restriction box but does anyone know if it plugs into the stock harness or HRC harness only?

It does the wire splice and yes, it plugs into the HRC harness.

Though you can use it on a standard harness if you're handy with a crimp tool!

I rremoved the race loom plugs and crimped new pins on the wires, which all (bar one) match up with the standard loom colours.

But why cut 20+ wires to fit a box that does the same job as cutting one wire on a stock harness? As you say it can be made to fit, but why bother.

Rhys, do you still intend to bring your MC21SP to us for checking over/setup? We will delimit it for you, and you'll never even know it's been done, to look at. (Except for the airbox lid... there's nothing we can do about that! It needs to be "opened up".)

No need for HRC, M-max, KISS, Posh or any other kind of delimiter boxes. Smile

On my NSR i have one of these delimiters but not cause i wanted to delimit the ignition with it.
It was a part of a used ignition kit which i bought for my NSR some years ago.
The kit was SS-SP (NKD) which includes unleaded HRC PGM-III (CI1605E) and a race loom with the delimiter been a part of it.

For a simply de-restriction i would follow the wire splice, the HRC box doesn't worth the effort and money.

The HRC box does exactly the same job as the wire splice but with a tricky (hidden) way under a plastic case.
Below is a photo of an uncovered HRC delimiter which you can see very easy how it does the (black-orange) wire splice. Wink

Because when I bought mine from a very reputable source 12 years ago I was sold it under the pretence it was a go faster add-on which did more than just the wire splice.

We now know better! Wink

When I first delimited my MC21, Ethos sold me a KISS delimiter, saying it did the same thing as the HRC box, but plugged into the standard harness and cost 1/2 the price. Back then (1994), the HRC box was just too uncommon and expensive to cut open.

Technically, what I was told about the HRC box altering more than just the speed limiter was correct. However, so does the wire-splice!
