Still having loads of grief with the MC18 I have fitted in a superkart chassis, starts fine and tick's over well and right up though the rev range untill it gets to 8500- 9000 then the lower/front barrel just dies, been through everthing from carbaration to electrics to new pistons and barrels.
I am not running a airbox just filter pods that plonked on end of carbs. someome has told me that i need to run the airbox to get the max out of this motor. can any one confirm that this might be causing the problem I have. do i need the airbox fitted?.
kick myself if this is the case as i spent hours on this motor
