Axle and Swingarm Sliders?

Mon Mar 11, 2013 9:44 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Is anyone running axle or swingarm slider on an MC21? I know frame sliders aren't an option, but I would think that front axle and rear swingarm sliders would be. What are people using? Thanks.

Michael

It might be best to look on one of the well known auction sites for Honda RVF400 and VFR400 crash bungs.....These models have similar geometry to MC21 & MC28.

Thanks, I actually am running an RVF front end, and have found a few on the auction sites, but haven't been able to find anything for the rear swingarm. I may just have to fabricate something.

Thinking about it, has anyone actually scratched their front forks/axles or rear swingarm when lowsiding since the high point is pretty much the pegs and bars and fairings? I'm thinking investing in these could be a waste of money.

Booth times mine has gone down, it's only scraped the pipes, bar ends and fairing pods.

Hahahah....yeah...that was me....thanks man! I have a copy of it too. The guy was on an R6, cool guy who came over after and was laughing because he couldn't catch me and my "little" 250. I gave all those 600's and litre bike's a good run for their money. The NSR was even hanging pretty good in the straights, at least with the 600's, but what was really fun was when they hit the breaks, I just flew right by Very Happy Razz . This bike is so flickable and handles amazing, especially since I just had the suspension re-valved and springed by Lindemann Engineering. It's really hard to believe that it's 23 years old now Shocked almost vintage! Here are a couple of shots that the photographers took while I was out there and one I took in the pits. By far the most fun bike I've ever owned, and you don't have to be going 140mph!

should get a go pro would be awesome to see your point of view especially with all those passes you did... and it would be nice to see more modern videos of NSR's on youtube bunch of videos are horrible quality and outdated
