Some are more than other. When Honda had stock of RS250 NF5/NF4 pistons they were less than $60.00 each. They are now discontinued so are now commanding 4 times that.

In fact the ART made NF4 piston is almost identical to the NX6 piston but smaller.

Just so you don't think I'm pulling a fast one.

Screenshot of Honda's official dealer net work.

£70.06 inc tax = $112.10. A far cry from $1,371.00

Stephen, are you able to search new old stock held by other dealers worldwide?

I can look at "dead stock" which are parts that dealers have in stock and are looking to move on to other dealers world wide.

If HRC Europe has all NX6 items in stock does that mean you don't have to worry about pistons for the 500's anymore?
Or are they showing stock but do not actually have any pistons available?

Well, tried to order a piston from that place for that great price, but they don't have any. As a matter of fact, they don't have any NSR500 parts nor do any of the Honda dealers. So while the screenshot is nice and their website says they have them, they actually do not.

Thanks anyway,

Joel

Totally missing the point... and stop trolling!

The point is, the pistons from Honda were only £58.38 +VAT RRP by that screenshot ($93.58 at today`s exchange rate), and Redline advertise them for $1,371.00, yet you`re saying they don`t mark the prices up.

StephenRC45 never claimed he could still get them from Honda. He just supplied evidence of the RRP from their ordering system.

Just drop it!

Yes, I knew that they were that much and 125 pistons were US $60 at one time as well. The last time you could actually buy them from HRC they were $1371 USD.

Consider it dropped.

Sorry Joel, but you're wrong. That is the current price and as you can see, from Honda very own dealer web site.

As for them not having other spares, where do you think I got all the consumable parts for rebuilding the two we have? HRC of course. Some parts you have to wait for, some are next day.

The very reason we went for a pair of 500V's was the avalibility of parts. I really wanted a RS500 but the parts were just too hard to obtain in use-able condition.

If you would like to buy some pistons though I can sell you some, and they won't be $1000+ each Wink
