Sprocket Help

Wed Jun 08, 2005 12:00 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Just received a rear magtek that I purchased. The sprocket that came with it was well worn. I have another that I've been waiting for a reason to install. It's been a very long time since I changed a sprocket and that was on a Yamaha so excuse the stupid questions coming.

The sprocket I took off has threaded lugs (?) that seem to be pressed into the sprocket but the new one doesn't. Are these removeable or am I missing something?

Thanks for any insight you guys have for me.

Thanks Andy, I just didn't want to do that until I knew for sure.

I think the original Honda sprockets come complete with the inserts. It certainly looks like it from the diagram in the parts manual. I know the aftermarket ones don't however, so pressing them is the only answer.
