hand made mild steel race pipes for NSRs...

Martin77, the owner of a rather impressive TDR250 that came to the Dyno-Day, is interested in developing some low-cost race pipes for us.

If you are wary of crashing those lovely Jha's/TYGA's, want a lower cost alternative for racing, or are simply on a tight budget, then please register your interest on this thread! We won't hold you to it, but we'd like to know!!

We will get started on the first developmental sets ASAP, and get some dyno results to publish, but would like an idea of support please.

The pipes on Martin's TDR are absolutely wonderful! Hydro-formed and seam welded, his talent is seriously underused! I will post some images soon.

I am definitely in the market for set (s) of cheap race pipes. My current ones are a bit battered and don't want to risk bouncing Tyga pipes down the track.

If the power and price are good, I'd be interested - my TYGA's have handled a bashing but are looking decidedly second hand now. What cans would the pipes be made to fit?

The pipes will be made to fit the MFactoryWest cans sold through the Marketplace.

Naturally we will have dynographs of the pipes fitted to both a stock MC21 and a "fettled" MC21 to start with. Other models will follow depending on demand!

They will be side-by-side (SP) style.

Thinking about a previous question too, we would most likely make the pipes suitable for stock cans to fit, that way there is already a large range of cans available, as well as our MFW cans on the Marketplace.

We're purely thinking about a good performing low-cost alternative for racing/trackdays/low budgets to start with, so if you already have a set of silencers (we'll even test them with stock cans) it could be a great entry level pipe.

Well.....looks like I'll be stuck in the workshop for the forseeable future then!

Things are still being figured out, and it might take me a short while to get the basic designs right, but at least I know there's demand out there (I struggled to sell my first TDR ones).

As for those cans Wayne, I might be able to knock some up for you (they took almost as long to make as the chambers themselves)....if I can find some suitable metal that is. (the last ones were sourced from a scrap yard) give me yer email and I'll get back to you.
