300 piston and barrel

Tue Mar 13, 2012 9:56 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

HI, just got into the bike since Sept problems (busy or what) and Andy was right it had nipped up.

Not repairable as both have a bit missing and a badly scored barrel.

I now need a piston and barrel for a TYGA 300 conversion. Has anyone got one on a shelf? Please?

Do you just need 1 barrel and piston or 2?

I think I've still got some stock 300 barrels somewhere but no pistons. If I recall though the barrels will need re-plating but aren't damaged.

What pistons are you using the ART or Wiseco?

Thanks Stephen. I need just the 1.

I have the chance for a Wiseco piston to go with one of your barrels, which could sort my summer.
However I honestly have no Idea what is in there. I'll check my paperwork from TYGA and see if I have the info or is there a easy way to identify the make. I only have the head off at the minute.

If the Wiseco piston goes with what I have i'll buy one off you please. What does the coating process involve though?

Thanks Mal

The wiseco pistons come from Tyga and fit the 300 barrel as intended . If you have a barrel replated , you send you new piston with the barrel and you can specify a clearance
If you are fussy and racing . Or you use the clearance they advise you to use

Stephen I am grateful for your help. PM me and I'll sort the purchase out, if that's ok.

Hi Stephen, If you still have a barrel I have a Wiseco piston on the way and would love to do a deal.

If not has anyone else got a barrel from a 300 kit on a shelf, please.

No ride this summer otherwise.

Thanks.
