setting squish clearance

Thu Feb 02, 2012 3:09 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi
Can anyone tell me what the best squish clearance should be on my mc 18?

I will be running it on pump gas although I can get avgas if needs be!

I am re plating bores and having new pistons etc so I thought I would get barrels skimmed at same time.

Cheers Fastfill

I have an MC18 that I am about to finally have finished. For road use and the odd track day.
It runs on pump gas.

I set the squish at 0.8mm
Combustion volume was set at 12.8cc to the top of the spark plug hole.
Details here

I should be able to update my blog in a week or two, describing how it runs compared to a couple of other MC18's
