JHA rear sets

Mon Jan 30, 2012 3:40 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Went out for the first time on my newly purchased MC28 over the weekend and found out that the gear change is 1 up the rest down. Its supposed to have a set of JHA rear sets on it so I guess this is a GP setting.

Any ideas what I would need to change it back to 1 down the rest up ? Is another part needed or just some adjustment.

Thanks
Mark

Picture would help.

in some cases you can flip the shifter linkage on the transmission selector shaft, but I can't say for sure since I never seen MC28 up close

GP Shift = Totally bitchin'!

Here's a pic of mine with an aftermarket rearset of which I do not know the name. Even though the picture is slightly distorted due to an angle shot, the ball joint is actually in the 12 o'clock position on mine.

You may just need to pull it off and to a 180 with it.

Thanks for the photos Dana, I will try switching it around this weekend and if it is not possible then a set of JHA rear sets will be up for sale.

My Coerce ones can be swapped to race shift at the footpeg end, have a look first to see if that is adjustable, I don't think you can swap the engine end through 180 degrees as it may foul the sprocket/flywheel guard.
