i think thats what it is,ive looked at the parts manuel and the crankcase bit lists the part as the switch assembly.change.ive been messing with the bike today and finally got round to fitting it,but it dosnt want to go in easily and i dont want to be heavy handed with it.ive taken a pic,is the tiny rod supposed to be in the possition it is in the pic? or even both sides?

Just pulled out the one in my spare engine and the pin
is off set in the shaft like your one

I think its just a matter of getting the pin to align with the slot in the gearbox shaft mate.

Either that or twat it with a big hammer

Yeah it has to line up with the slot in the selector drum.
