The Microsquirt would be a likely candidate for that. I've got one here that I'm putting on my car and it's very small and would be a good replacement for the PGM if possible. You can get them from Efisource if you're serious. http://www.efisource.com/products.php?category=3

They cost a total of $400, assembled and including wiring harness! Based on the Megasquirt II, but shrunk down and missing some features. Since there are only two cylinder on the NSR it would be perfect due to it only being able to drive two coils without an external ignition, unlike the Megasquirt.

I'd say if you want to get really serious, how about developing direct injection Very Happy I'm up for it.

Though, how would you keep the crank lubricated? Would the oil injector lubricate properly with no fuel; only air passing by?

You mean a motor to detonate ?

I was thinking of the zeeltronic unit or ignitech . I want to use some powerjet carbs too .

Why a Zeeltronic or Ignitech? How much do they cost? What features do they have above the Microsquirt? I think the Microsquirt is worth taking a look at.

I'd say direct injection has the potential for big horsepower.

They're both dirt cheap, and basically made for the application. The support for the Zeeltronics is reputedly excellent, and there are many other like minded tinkerers who are happy to help. They're worth a look at the very least.

You see for me that is the important part ! I need to bounce ideas of like minded bike fanatics and the ignitech comes with a preset curve . You can fine tune it afterwards , add a quickshifter , powerjet carbs etc .
The EFI is still a few months away as some guys are doing one for a rz350 . I have other plans at this moment .

Why go EFI and not direct injection? Can you link us to the guys doing the rz350?
