new nsr advice needed

Sat Jul 02, 2011 8:33 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

hi guys

I,m back on an nsr after 5 years with my new 28sp

few questions for those in the know

I have an hrc card but it is a road bike so loss of the speedo is not that appealing, if I go for the option of the mc21 fkywheel what is the difference in hp (approx) between hrc card vs flywheel change, if its heaps i might live without the speedo

looking at pipes, options are restrictor rings out of the standard or tyga, aprox hp adavntage of tyga vs modified std?

when kickstarting, this thing is a pain, my foot fouls on the pegs, this never happened on my 21, does anyone else have this problem

Thanks

paul

I fitted a Trailtech Vapor to my 28 and it works a treat and looks great too. I run the 010 card and was not that bothered, however the local DVLA were and made me fit it. I am actually glad as I do use it Shocked

Will take a piccy tomorrow if you are interested, took about an hour to fit which included making brackets for it. It is connected to the battery but doesnt drain it with fairly low use.

welcome back i have one of them trail tehcs fitted to my cbr its great value for the money pitty the rpm graph bar only goes to 12500rpm
it also has heaps of other stuff like temp readings max recall shift and warning lights . ill be keeping mine when i sell the bike.
about the kick start about the only thing to check is its aligned on the spline in the right position but i think you may find you have lost the fine art of kicking a nsr don't despair you should be a pro buy the end of the month.
i feel and look so awkward kicking mine over after a spell on electric start 4stroke id hate to try it after a few years off one!

Tyga have great products and you can see dyno runs on their site too . I don't remember having a kickstart problem when I had a 28 , set the kickstart to the middle of the frame spare .
