V-Force 3 Reed blocks fitted to MC18

Sun Jul 03, 2011 4:20 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I have just fitted a set of MotoTassinari V-Force 3 reed blocks to my MC18.
Unfortunately it will be a few months until I get it running, but thought that some members would be keen to see what is involved.
I have flowed the upper left cylinder crankcase area near the reeds and am hoping to get better flow with the V-Force reed block.
Also they don't partially block the rear transfer port like the standard reed blocks do.
I have blogged the process here.
I bought them off The Twostroke Shop, but am unsure of price just yet.

Apparently many users (on all sorts of engines) claim a crisper throttle reponse.
This post by Neal saw no difference in back to back dyno tests but suggests: "On the track , it sounds better and revs cleaner and higher"
Has anyone else tried them out? Any dyno tests? Just wondering if I have wasted my time and money.

I saw SOME V-Force reeds on their site so I just rang them up and told them what I was after.
