Aoyama Scot Honda RSW250 Replica

Sun Nov 14, 2010 4:29 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Next project.......convert the NXA into a replica of Hiroshi Aoyama's 2009 championship winning bike.

The build project includes:

Speedfiber carbon bodywork, the exact same type as used by the Scot team (except for rear hugger which is a TSR type to fit NXA swingarm):

Custom machined radial fork bottoms from BCT Racing in Italy (thanks Tom for the lead!) plus Brembo radial calipers (HPK Nickel Plated)

The Marchesini Rims for the RSW250, these from Ratthapark Wilarot's and Hector Faubel's bikes.

And a pair of kit Samba pipes, which Samba made for the RSW and these are modded to fit the NXA

LOL I was wondering when you would start making the NXA into an RSW.

I almost bought those RSW rims.... nice bloke selling them. Shame the sprocket is on the wrong side for the NF5. You didn't fancy the carbon kevlar fairing he was selling?? Although I guess it'd be a shame to repaint it.

Did you see that ex Takahashi Burning Blood kit RS that was up for sale a few months back?? One trick bike.

Well look forward to seeing it all coming along and you wouldn't fancy selling a front wheel would ya?? Wink

Hi Rich,Really look forward to seeing the finished item,I think it is one of the most significant RS 250 of all time and its colour scheme will never date or go out of fashion, the fairing kit is absolutley spoton and if its finished to the same standard as the Rothmans RS,and i know it will be,we are in for a treat, here are a couple of pics of my MC28,I,m happy with it,i like the satin laquer, good luck, jonmac

Not much progress on this I'm afraid. Other projects and lots of work overseas keep getting in the way!

Pitty, I would really like to see what the forks look like when they are done. How much is a pair of CNC'd bottoms ?

These will work on the NX5 too right ?
