MC21 F3 - links, pics, vids anything

Thu Nov 18, 2010 12:26 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi Guys,

I am trying to piece together as much information on the TT-F3 as possible. I would be interested in acquiring any information regarding riders, teams, sponsors etc.

My aim is to establish a colour scheme for a project TT-F3 complete bike and want it to be in keeping or even the same as one of the bikes that competed in F3 back in the 90's. I love the look of StephenRC45's and Dan's but I need to come up with something new and different.

I have read through this forum and found some links to suzuka 4 hour videos etc. but its very hard to pick out the individual bikes. Any help or media of any nature would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Jim

Best place for vid's is Youtube but there isn't much on there.

Alot of teams ran full F3 bikes. You had Blue Fox Racing, Moto Bum, Harc-pro and i-Factory as well as Dog Fight Racing.

Most had their own colours. Jamies site has some good pictures of the i-Factory bike.

DFR MC21 F3

Not the best picture and fitted with non OE body work which I dislike but those are the colours (same as MC28 DFR F3).

HRC ran their own bikes in the AN Racing colours and JHA had thier bikes in the normal red/black.

I'd love to see a '21 in those colours!

The "NSR Style Book" shows some other unusual colour schemes too, but a number of the FIII pics are in black and white. There's a "Spicy Meatballs" Cup Noodle, and some colour photos of teams like HARC Pro, Fire Garage, Ethos/Cycle World, Hiryu Racing, Gen's Racing Club, and AS (Auto Shop) Wing.

In GP, from 87~90 you can go with Lucky Strike (long before it was ever used by Seizuki!), and in '88 you had Camel... if you like yellow! Smile 92~94 saw some nice Marlboro colours. One of the longest running sponsors, other than Rothmans, is the often overlooked HB.
