This is more for WatfordHorn, PaulG and anyone in the London'ish area.

Just thinking it's just about ok for a quick spin somewhere. Any suggestions. Maybe Thaxstead or somewhere fairly central to us

Definetely up for that when the weather gets better Rob, loads of good roads around Essex. Very Happy
What about early March? The weather should have perked up by then.
Be good to get a few others to join in, Nigel's in Essex, maybe Leigh could lend Tom his RGV again ROTFLMAO

The RGV has retired until it gets a new top end, looks like the problem was caused by a massive lack of compression...probably missing rings.

I might come on the 500 so the petrol stations cant be far apart Smile

Anyway....Tom has his own road going MC28 now.

Be good to see the 500 come out, how far will it go on a tank?

Glad to hear Tom's up and running at last. Very Happy

The 500 is the only bike I have been riding recently, probably does about 60 miles to the tank....an entertaining/scary 60 miles though.

Should be getting the MC28 MOT'd this weekend so a blast would be great.

The road to Thaxted from Bishops Stortford is mental..... then going on to Buntingford. I stumbled on my way to Simoto (in Thaxted) to get some fabrication done. I was in the car, but promised myself I'd return on an NSR. This could be it.

Looking forward to it........ anyone want to suggest a date? (not 27th- 28th Feb)

The Thaxted road is one of my favourites, I normally go that way home when I go to work on the nsr Smile

If you and Leigh are both going we could maybe meet up at Baldock and follow the A507 to Buntingford which is another stonking road, drop down to Bishops Stortford from their and maybe meet up with Rob and Nigel around Hatfield heath? From their we could ride up through Takeley to Elsenham and pick up the Thaxted road, from Thaxted we could head to Finchingfield stop for a pint then go across to Haverhill (another great road) then up to Linton, across to Saffron Walden, from their we could head to Royston and then back towards Buntingford.

Have a look on a map and see what you think.

I have no doubts about the 500 making it, just wondering how much it will cost me in fuel and oil!!
