MC something or other Headlights Question

Thu May 07, 2009 4:27 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I know i own a MC28 and for that i apologise profusely, but i need to ask another question.Laughing Laughing Laughing

Still trying to find my elusive problem with the MC28 not reving out cleanly i noticed the other night that the head lights only come on after i kick the bike over to start or attempt to start it.

Is this correct or i have i found another problem??

Should i have bought a RGV250 or is this looked on as worse that owning a MC28 Wink Wink Wink

Cheers Rob

I'll answer you so you don't get slammed for riding the best looking NSR.

The light doesn't come on until you kick it, perfectly normal.

an NSR not "revving out" could mean a low/dead battery.

People are just jealous of what they don't understand. Never mind the h8rz (that was just for Andy Wink ) and know your riding the most complicated NSR 250 made Smile

On the off chance this is a serious post, yes that is correct.

I've got one, I've raced one, in my opinion once properly derestricted they aren't significantly better or worse than an equal spec mc18 or mc21.
Half the problem is the money you have to spend to get it to that spec, the other half is the lack of (m28) parts to take it past that spec.

Riding Monkey's 21sp the other day (which has nothing but the wiresplice done, stock pipes, unmodded airbox) it did occur to me just how easy it is to make any other NSR go pretty well. It'd kick my stock carded (21 flywheel, modded airbox, de-restricted pipes) one from pillar to post.

Yes this was a serious post...... Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

I never noticed the headlight thing before that was all Embarassed

The MC28 just seems to get a bit of stick from a couple of members, so i thought i would take the necessary steps to ensure an answer...lol

Thank You everyone for your replies.

Cheers Rob Embarassed
