hi all its back and seems ok,done about 50 miles on it,BUT Shocked there is a slight nock sound on bottom end,i had this on a cr250 ounce, same sound, thourght it was crank but wasnt, also ive noticed as you sit on bike, the left exhaust has slight smoke, but right doesnt, could the nock be related to fuel,if i do need a crank/rebuild what is the best route to go,i have spoke to the guy in greece and he can get mains, the shop said bigends were good,

Alright dude, when does it knock, at idle, under load or on the overrun? That might give some indication as to what might be up with it.

If the shop said the big ends were good then dont worry too much, if the main bearings go then you'll get a rumble which will get louder and louder. Not a knock, well unless the ball bearings escape!

After 50 miles from a rebuild? Dont worry about the smoke at the moment really, might just be excess oil in the exhausts? It could of course be the right hand crank seal drawing gearbox oil in and burning it. IF the exhausts cross over like they do on the '16.

Could be worth going back to wherever rebuilt it, if your worried. They should be able to answer any questions!

Cheers
Paul

That alone I'm sure wont of done any harm. As you say you'll have to start it tomorrow (I'd be out there now) and try it.

hi all, well got home from work, started bike and it seemed to start better Laughing ,but even with the carbs balenced, the left pipe is defently not working as hard as right,if you warm the bike up to 60deg,the right side exhaust gas does feel warm, but left is noticably colder,i spoke to mr howl who used to owen bike and he did say left/frount barrel did have a miss, they dinoed it and was fine when runnig/working, and when i took barrels off the frount barrel/piston was imaculate it was top barrel that seized,
do the air screws need adjusting, and were should they be[turns] to run safe,
