price ranges for MC28 and 21?

First, I would like to thank everyone who helped me with my MC18 questions (esp. on the mailing list)! It is currently apart as I await some parts, but what the heck it is cold anyway.

I would like to eventually pick up a 21 or 28, preferably an SP and in good condition. I would just like to get your input on fair prices on a US titled bike in good condition up to a dream bike of somebody's baby that's loved & hopped up.

I understand a 21 is easier to derestrict, but like the looks of the 28.
Are both about the same size physically, although I realize the 28 weighs a bit more.

Thanks for any and all thoughts!
If you want to sell your dreambike (sob), pm me!

Titled NSR's in the U.S. are rare and coveted. Expect to pay $4K minimum for a decent running example. Untitled can be had for much less. I paid almost $4K for mine 1 1/2 years ago. Even though the price was not bad, the bike needed some help. The body work was scraped with a few cracks and the front forks were bent beyond repair. Lots of small items that needed to be replaced. Basically what I'm saying (from my experience) is that if you find a good titled NSR, expect to pay $5K or above. Anything under $4K will probably need work. Also, just because the bike is titled in one state, don't take for granted that you can have it titled in your state. I've heard a few horror stories concerning this.
