Honda NSR250 MC21 SE/SP
Hi, i will be looking for a mc21 sp/se at about the end of march/april, i cant buy one yet though, will anyone on here be selling one in the uk or know of anyone that will be?
I will have around £1000 to spend so i dont care what state the fairing is in as it will all be replaced anyway.

Thanks

Jon

You'll be lucky to find an MC21SE for much less than £1500. Add £150-250 to that for an SP.

I dont want to sound funny, i love nsr 250's this forum is a life saver, but not many people seem to want to help, even if you dont have one for sale, could you tell me the name of some places that might be selling mc21's in the uk, as soon as ive sold my 2002 aprilia rs125 i will be able to get it. is anyone interested in the aprilia, theyre a good track day bike, or if any of you have sons £2050 ono? biggest mistake of my life selling my old nsr, i could get a mint aprilia rs250 for £2000 or make an mc21 the way i want it at £3000 hoping £1000 bike and £2000 parts. ive been sort of got addicted to the mc21, wish i wasnt as i wouldnt keep having head aches worrying about where to find one.

Thanks

Jon

I don't want so seem funny either, but aren't those two conflicting statements?!

Lobelowe has already posted that there is a bike on eBay in your intended price-range, and I simply said that I doubt you'll find an SE or SP for the price you want. Frankly, if an NSR is for sale in the UK, then it'll most likely either turn up here or on eBay - often both - so you're already looking in one of the two best places I think!

I still say that if you find an MC21 for £1000, it'll be either extremely scruffy, or have a blown motor or something similarly drastic (StephenRC45 only looked at an MC18 advertised for £1k on Wednesday!). Is that not helpful advice?

i know i must have worded it wrong, i want that nsr on ebay but i wouldnt have sold my other bike until the end of march, so i was basically asking whether or not anyone on here would be selling their bike in the next couple of months, maybe that nsr on ebay wont fetch £1000 in the state thats its in with the gravel rash etc... if it doesnt i will try and buy it next month. otherwise i am looking for a very scruffy nsr250 with a sound engine, i will be powdercoating the frame and swingarm, and all panels will be changed. Thanks

Jon.

i thought just the rear seat was off an R, thanks for that, it does have a dry clutch though, what do you suggest? is it worth the risk? i have £2000 for a nsr but i wanted to completely customise it, gp250 fairings in powdercoated frame and swingarm, and pretty much everything else i can think off.

if you really want it take a pocket full of pound notes to london and go and have a look and a listen, taht way theres no risk.

if you are gonna be spending 2k on aftermarket kit surely you are going to take the engine apart anyway, would be a shame to spend all that making it look the dogs to find out one of the bores are scrap...
