HRC PGM III

Mon Feb 02, 2009 6:20 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

How does the HRC PGM III (the one with the little black sticker) differ to the standard PGM III. And are there 2 versions of the HRC unit for different grades of fuel?

PGMIII

Tue Feb 03, 2009 12:00 pm » Post: #4 » Download Post

Hi Rich

I have tried the standard and race fuel PGMIIIs back to back on the dyno. On a stock engine but HRC loom, and Tyga bolt ons it makes +1.5bhp throughout the rev range. Now this might not seem much, but do 10 of these tweaks and you get a beautiful bike. The race PGM opens the p/v at a different rev range and advances the ignition a bit. Expect to pay £300-350 for one.

Every little helps.

Cheers

Dan

Thanks Dan.

Regarding the 2 HRC PGM-III units, one for unleaded and one for Avgas.
Are there any part numbers / marks on the actual box to identify which one it is?

I know there is a small black sticker which distinguishes it from the standard PGM-III. Are these the same (in Japanese Confused ) for both HRC boxes?

Cheers, and good luck with the race season ahead. Must try to get to a round this year!

PGMIII for unleaded / pump fuel part number 30400-NKD-700, avgas part number 30400-NKD-840

On mine there are numbers inked onto the top edge in faint blue lettering. I'm not sure if this is normal or not and whether it may wear or wash off over time. As with most things, you need to feel comfortable the seller is genuine and trust they tell you what it is you are buying.

I've just got my hands on a HRC PGM-III.

I was not supplied the P/N, so don't know if its the AVGAS or Unleaded version Confused

There is a serial no. on the side CI605E 4.0 151, Dan, wondering if yours have this type of marking?

Also, a close up of the black sticker signifying its HRC rather than standard.
Again, wonder if the sticker is different for different fuels. If anyone could take a close up of their's, I can compare Japanese text Razz

If I can't work it out, maybe I'll adopt Fontyyy's neat fuel procedure of 50/50 Avgas & Unleaded Wink

Rich

I have some photos for you, but I still don't know how to load them on the NSR site, despite being a member for 5 years! One day I will get someone to show me. Send me an email (danwilliams@greeneking.co.uk) and I'll send them to you. Roy Chester362 also has a HRC PGM, his is for unleaded race fuel, whereas I don't actually know what mine is except that it adds power... Very Happy

Inked numbers on my HRC are in black (sorry I said earlier they were blue). CI-6050.5. I also have a what I think is a JHA PGM, but it makes little more power than a standard, the JHA number is CI6068.3

Cheers

Dan
