shipping costs from UK to US?

Tue Feb 15, 2005 6:00 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Does anyone know the approximate cost of shipping a set of forks and yokes from the UK (Bristol area) to southern California (San Diego area) in the States? (better yet, anyone from Bristol heading this way with some room in their suitcase? Very Happy )
if not, any ideas on how I could get a reasonable estimate? Thanks for any help.

Check out the Parcelforce website.

You'll need to know the weight of the package.

I have a freind who lives in the So Cal area and might be able to bring the stuff back when they next visits. They should have room in the lugage as they're bringing bits from the US for me.

I'll ask when they're next intending to visit.

That's certainly a generous offer...but I wonder how the x-ray folks at the airport would interpret a set of forks in the luggage these days. Call in the bomb squad, probably. Smile Let me know if your friends make it through without drama and if this is viable.
Cheers,
Jim
