Race bike build

Tue Nov 18, 2008 3:26 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi Everyone , Im in the process of putting together my Nsr250(21) race bike build, I've been planning it for a while an have got most of the bit's i'll need. So hopefully it'll be a rapid build.
I'll be asking a ton of question so thanks in advance for your wisdom.
These pic's are of the basic chassis.
Front forks are k6 Gixxer items Surprised revalved etc to suit the lower weight of the NSR
Still got the original shock in as I'm waiting for the mighty ohlins to arrive.

Cheers For the positive feedback guy's. I Ordered the shock thru local Ohlins Agent, Pretty sure He ordered it direct from the facotry instead of building it up off the spec sheet. Cost was $1400 NZD's so at cuurent exchange about 50 Quid Confused

If only that were true! Unfortunately it's about £500 which is not far off what it'd cost here.

Update

Fri Dec 26, 2008 10:20 am » Post: #14 » Download Post

Bit of an update Guys,Engine is all back together an fitted along with a lovely set of tyga pipes, Am now starting to do Electrics Confused . Which is definitley not my strongest suit .
Does anyone have any tips as far as a race loom goes? I've printed out the wiring diagram from the tech section (thanks Andy ). Is it literally a case of hacking out the wries that are not needed or is there any that have to be bridged Ect. Cheers

You can pretty much hack out all the lighting stuff and you're good to go! You need to bridge the side-stand wires, that's all, else it will cut out when you put it into gear!
