Where to get a street legal Honda NSR 50, or make one street

hey, does anyone know where to get street legal NSR50? I have one, yes but it was very hard to obtain it was from the Japan Gray market, fully street legal, works great, changed the piston on it once after 800 miles of driving it all around.

The bike is a fun little thing to get around on. I wish I could obtain another one for my friend.

thanks if anyone has any info!

Hi, I just wanted to add that I am new to these forums, but I have been lurcking and reading a lot of posts.

NOT that many posts on the NSR50 model I was looking at but I see a lot of posts on other NSR.

I have been learning and riding NSR for almost a year, but I never got into them.

so I was wondering what other bikes that are street legal and a little bit more easy to obtiain are like the nsr 50? maybe a honda MC21?

not sure, would appreciate the help.

NSR50

I just ended up with a NSR50 out of some trading. It is a 1997 Street version, but not titled in the US. If I don't sell this thing quick, I'll probably get it titled. Does anyone know how to remove the 60kph limiter on the 50?

The little NSR50 'Gag' bike with 12" wheels, or the 'full-size' learner-legal version ?

My bike's not restricted, it'll do a genuine 55mph no problem. It's got an aftermarket CDI box under the seat though...

No problem putting one on the road in the UK, but I understand it's all a lot more complicated in the so-called 'united' states.

MC21 isn't exactly a similar bike to the 50. Do you want one of the little ones (NSR/YSR/TZM/TDR/KSR/RB etc.) or a proper 250 ?

North Valley Honda in Phoenix had two new 2004 NSR50's in stock last month, 1800.00 Total OTD each. Not road legal in AZ, but don't know how much work would be needed in your State.....

602-996-9280, ask for Rick.

They do not. At least the 1997 NSR50 in my storage does not.
