my mc21 se has a dent in its rear rim, which i suspect is from one of Brisbanes countless pot holes . its about and inch long, and rises about 1 cm.

the guy i bought the bike off said it passed a road worthy with it, but i think i want to get it fixed/replaced.

has anyone had any experience with fixing rims? i was told it need machining of some sort, but am not sure if it is easier to just get a replacement, maybe SP rims.

any comments and advice much appreciated, tim

For the cost, time and effort to repair a dink in a rim, it's probably easier to search out a new wheel.

PB did a thing on wheel repairs a while ago, cut the bent bt out and rebuild it with weld and cut back to shape but for the cost of a stock wheel - easier to replace I reckon ?

ok, since i cant seem to keep this thing below 100 im going to look into getting the wheel fixed quicksmart, are there any wheels other than nsr that will fit the bike (mc21) ? i know the new rear disc i am getting is the same as that on a cbr250rr so hopefully it might be a similar case with the wheels.

Not easy. IIRC, all the four stroke stuff of similar vintage uses fatter rims...

ok all sorted, i rang a couple of bike engineers and they both said $60 AU to do it if i can bring the wheel in ready to be done, $110 if they have to get it off the bike
