Large Capacity Radiator

Fri May 30, 2008 7:37 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi guys...

I am trying to find and install to my MC21 a large capacity radiator... But to be honest I don't know which type of radiators will be compatible with my bike... For example, can I install a RS250(NX5 - NF5) radiator...? Or I will be having problems with the hoses and similar issues...? Are there any manufactures that produce radiators for the MC21...?
I must admit that the "Large Capacity Radiator" issue, for me is a fetish thing...LOL...!!!

Cheers
Michael

It's made by Pace Products over here, although to get a decent price you'll have to order through me. You will be looking at around £550.00 I believe. Lol ouch! But not too bad if you have a tinkering fetish... Keeps my 300 bang on 60-62 degrees with the thermostat still used.

This is not cheap I must say...
But I know that the racing radiators cost a fortune... Thank you for your offer... I will gather the money slowly and when I will be ready I will contact you...To be honest, in the meantime I will try to find something cheaper but if I don't, I will come back to you...

Thanx Maxim

It isn't i know. If you go to Pace direct, I think it would be £675.00!

It is comparable to the kit RS250 radiator for cooling performance.

No idea what hoses he's used but Dan Williams has an NX5 rad on his NSR racebike, he's modded the mounts to give clearance for a ram air scoop.

It doesn't look very "factory" but Dan just wants it to go like the clappers and stay cool, so if you want a sweet looking rad, Max's is the one!

From my experience, the ZXR400 radiator is the biggest you will be able to get hold of easily. Many of the other 400's fitted them when they were tuned beyond their own rad abilities (friends FXR400 making 82hp for instance. Until I crashed it anyway...)

No idea how it'd mate up with an NSR, but that's half the fun isn't it? Wink
