Yeah I know as they were going to do my zx6 forks...

Try Reactive Suspension, spoken to the guy there in depth too and although slightly dearer than K-Tech probably a more personal service.

I don't know too much about suspension, but I used MH racing when I had the suspension rebuilt on my Gixer 750.

There are prices on the website.

Indeed, K-Tech are not big fans of fitting wrong bits to bikes, they won't uprate the spring on an RS250 (Aprilia) shock to fit the to RVF400 either (a popular "upgrade" amongst 400 owners) nor would they put a heavier spring on my NSR rear shock.
Now I'm no suspension guru so when the guys who do (at least) 1/2 the bikes on the BSB grid tell me something, I listen.

Piss-poor if you ask me! HRC provide three additional springs for the MC21 and two MC28 (although they are a pain to source now, especially the MC21 numbers), so no reason why they can't at least fit a new spring to a shock designed for a 40~65kg Asian rider instead of a 70~100kg Western one!

There may be a competitively priced fully-adjustable shock for the MC21 and MC28 on the market soon anyway though, so people like K-Tech can stick their snobby attitudes and carry on servicing the Lemming-mobiles! Rolling Eyes

They tried to price themselves out of a job for me a few years ago when "Billy Monkey's" shock went astray and I felt the need to replace it, but I told them to go ahead much to their dismay! That's the last NSR job I heard of them doing.

I can't personally see the problem, other than they can't look NSR settings up in the book all the common 600's and 1000's are in!! An NSR shock is almost identical to some of the CBR600 shocks, and they will happily touch them up!

As for front suspension, I can't see their logic at all there, other than maybe they just don't want the work. Your money obviously isn't good enough for them!

If the exterior of the forks are in OK condition, I'd rather have them nitrided for the extra £70! You know it makes sense! Laughing
