MC21 dry clutch tranny oil

Sun Jan 20, 2008 5:00 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Greetings all,

Is there anyway I can check the transmission fluid level in a dry clutch engine? I noticed there is no inspection window or bolt to remove.

So when topping it up do I fill as per the destructions and hope for the best?

TIA

Mekros

Which needs to be checked when the bike is upright, not on the sidestand. It's integral to the oil cap, so it's not a long dipstick if you don't know what you're looking for.

it's probably about 20mm long (just under an inch for you Rolling Eyes ) Click on Andy's link to see what it should look like.

I ended up using close to 700mL of oil and it appeared to be spot-on, that was from a completely dry gearbox.
