FS MC18 race bike with CA plate and loads of parts

Wed Jan 09, 2008 10:27 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi All,

89 MC18 for sale in San Francisco area with CA plate.

Cash needed for other racing projects.

This was my old racebike and is pretty quick and reliable. I did pretty well racing with the AFM.

I can sell bike as a racer with all the trick stuff or as a stock bike.

Trick bits on bike now and options:

PJ38 carbs and rs250 reed cages and manifolds

1990 F3 PGM2. Fits into the mc18 loom. I have never seen another.

SP shock

MC21 rear wheel.

Technomag front wheel.

Dog fight chambers.

Beat up NX5 rs250 upper and lower on it now.

New airtech 88-89 rs250 upper and lower. needs installation.

Japanese market tail for mc21 or 28

MMAX box

I also have garage full of parts too:

Clean repaired stock MC18 bodywork. Full set with turns and headlight

hi charles

Hey Charles,

I heard about your crash and frame issue. Hope you didn't get hurt. Did you find another frame? I've got a 92 rs frame if you want to build a Franken-bike. JK!

I'm not building another bike at the moment. I need the cash to help pay for a sailboat race to Hawaii. I've found the right boat but don't want to drain all the "house fund" to finance it.

This MC18 is not my super F3/RS racer but my first MC18 racer I built. Its still got some cool stuff on it though. It would be perfect for a new racer. I have a feeling I will have to put all the stock stuff back on and then sell it as a CA titled street bike. The trick parts would then go up on ebay. However someone might want the chambers, rs carb setup, F3 ignition, and RS forks on their new toy.

Hope you and Tamara are doing well,
Dylan

Ah, you doing the TransPac or the Pacific Cup?

You got some tuff competition! Is Philippe still running it with his no budget limit team?

I would crew for you if I still lived out there. of course my open water crewing has been limited to leisure sailing on a 45 foot cat for 9 days. All my racing crew experience has been in the Monterey Bay on a 30 foot single hull race boat, and the longest for that was overnighter, but mostly just regattas.

Good luck on selling the bike, and good to hear you keeping your racer. Looks like the 250 class needs you to come back as the grids are getting small. If I had stayed for another 2 years I could have been in the top 5 Smile
