reed valves?

Mon Nov 12, 2007 3:02 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

im just wondering what is/are the problem/s.
in normal riding everything is fine, but when i ride agressively lets say almost redline in each gears, rpms is too high each time i pull the clutch but throttle is in close position i have to downshift and make engine breaks in each gear for the rpm to settle in 1200. scenario= 10K rpm on 5th gear going to a stop leaving it on 5th gear pull the clutch rpm does not go down.

still sounds like the carbs the valves wouldnt effect it. possible theres a air leak somwhere in your engine causing it to run like that i have had the same problem and was due to a crack in my crankcases that only seamed to let air in at full revs

its probly not just something it could be theres alot of areas on a two stroke to cause problems with idle speed and running lean and once i check the carb is not the problem on my bike its usualy air leaking through a crank seal, crack in a case, worn rubbers, holes in the exhaust, ignition timing, rust in the cables, frayed cables, oil pump cable sticking ..................
