wiring diagram for RC18

Mon Oct 22, 2007 10:41 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I am in the process of fixing a basket case RC18 for track racing and many of the original electricals have been removed and the wiring left. As well I want to wire in some extra stuff so I need a wiring diagram to clean it up. If anybody has an electronic copy or a photo of the electric diagram I would much appreciate it as I have a lot of motor and chassis work to to without having to trace every wire to see where it goes ( or doesn't)
Thanks

I can't get into these it keeps saying authentication required even though I am properly registered. By the way do you have instructions for setting up the floats as I have just cleaned the carbs out and the floats are both different and obviously wrong.

Found my old VT250F2 workshop manual and traced every iwre using the VT as a reference to eliminate all but the NSR only wires then used the wiring diag on another site to redraw a new one without all the extras I have removed for racing.
A kilo of wire gone , a legible wiring diagram and a much clearer wiring setup to use . even can use the headlight fuse ( now redundant) to power the electric water pump so I can ditch the mechanical one ( allowed under the rules). Free HP and gets rid of the worry of finding a new waterpump spindle as the nylon gear on the original was cracking at the shaft. .
I can also let it run full speed after a race for a while to cool the motor quicker.
Quite a good idea really!
