MC21 standard jetting.

Wed Dec 01, 2004 11:41 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

after i finish with building the cbr it will be the NSRs turn on the paddock stands in the shed, now i have had a look on the main site (honest) and i cant find the bit for MC21 jets.
i would like to know what the standard jets are as i know that mine had the jets fettled befor i had the engine rebuilt, as i now have my good ole starting prioblem back (the problem that helped me discover this fantastic site) i am gonna take off and strip and clean the carbs this winter ready for the spring ( Wink andy) and i want to put it back to standard so i can start again.

hope this made sense....its a 21R by the way Very Happy

Billy, you could take the main jets out and it would still start ok. So what ever your starting prob is its not the main jet size. Stock size is 128 i think. I woudl try looking for blocked air jets or maybe a blocked slow running system first... leave the jetting alone for a min, when it does run its ok doesnt it.

yeah no worries. i think alot of the problem is dirty carbs so i figured while i have the carbs off and are givin em a good clean i could put the jets back to standard while i was at it.

cant do it just yet the cbr is still in the way, its gonna be in the new year, just wanted all the info be for i started.... Very Happy

Mine appear's to be stock...

Main 128s
Power 75(rear) 72(front)
Pilot (low speed) 38
Air screw about 1 1/2 turn out.

Of course these are brilliant setting's, my bike being the stomp-monster that it is Confused
