Digging round the net as you do and found a few bits and bobs i didn't know exsited like a dog fight racing crank, harc pro ram air kit, kenso jet kits ect ect...
the question is how good is this stuff on a well set up bike ? (not that i will be getting any of it )
Harc pro no longer make the air box and the dog fight racing crank is just a stocker trued up. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
DogFight racing crank is essentially the same as an NSR-WORLD crank.
I have an MC21 HARC Pro ram air kit, but it's not yet installed... as it makes the carbs too quiet! (Thinking of putting it on the racer though, seeing as it was homologated for F3 racing!)
Not sure about the Kenso Bakudan jet kits, as I've never seen one/tried one in person. There is possibly something in it, as I have been reliably informed how different makes of main jet (Dynojet vs. Keihin for example) can have different flow rates for a given size. _________________ Andy.

Hp wise each is different due to engine spec but normaly around 300rpm better off at the top and xxx number of miles better for the main bearings. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
what's the cost on this NSR-World crank? is it a balanced and knife edged crank, with new bearings? or do you send in your old crank and they replace bearings and balance and knife edge it?
despite the claims that the marketplace is "** NOW OPEN **" it is in fact down for maintenance _________________ n00b

Yes you send your crank in, no its not knifed edged. Everythings moved on a bit since racing Bantams and Villiers.
The cranks are rebuilt with new bearings and seals and then trued. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...

Concerning NSR-World cranks, I would say that they would be a much better choice than the DF crank.
Not 100% sure, but knowing what happens at other Japanese race shops with NSR cranks, they (DF) won't actually re-index the two inside webs. They'll probably just tap the crank as true as it'll go.
Talking with Steve over tea and biscuits we had found some quite seriously out of line cranks. Up to 0.5mm out of line crank pins wasn't it Steve? I haven't come across a new one quite that bad, but I've had a few that won't be anywhere near fitting in my jig. 0.5mm out of alignment at the pin is 1 degree.
So, imagine that one cylinder is 1 degree retarded at the crank, and let's say that the pickup (due to factory tolerance) is half a degree out, then all of a sudden one cylinder is 1.5 degrees retarded. this would probably lose you a horse, or if it was all the other way then you might gain a horse, or suffer continued detonation when you tried to get more power.
My advice would be to send it to NSR-World. Steve's got nothing to do all day.
