Matt from TYGA Performance recently took some results from testing an MC21 T.P.S. so he may be able to post something later.

For info on removing the compound covering the PGM circuit board, look here!

The question was answered right after your last post on the subject!

Andy.

Thanx Andy,

I am waiting for Matt to post the results and any thoughts on the TPS.2 days ago a customer brought me a crm 250 which rc valve didn't work.I checked everything and nothing left but the pgm.So i had to try to fix it.Well i cut the top from the pgm box and removed the circuit. Then i put it in some paint thinner and left it there for about 2 hours. The compound started getting softer and after 2 hours i was able to remove the compound using a toothpick. After a while i had removed all the compound and finally i fixed the pgm.Hope that this method helps!!!

Thanx in advance.

What was actually wrong with the CRM unit? Is it similar to the NSR's in the way that it had failed? How did you repair it? Finally... any pictures?

Andy.

Yeah, tell us more - I've not done much here, as work has been a bit crazy then I had a week off.

Will try to get the unit to the avionics guys this week...

The CRM unit is like 1/2 the NSR unit, only one cylinder!!It didn't have any spark at all, a few resistors and capacitors were blown. That's all.Nothing serious but i had to remove all the compound. Now for the NSR unit, when the power motor driver fails, you have to replace the four transistors and maybe a few resistors and capacitors.Nothing to worry about, all the difficulty is the first time you do something like that!!!!Sorry guys i know that a few pics would be very helpful but i don't have any.Next time i will do something like that i will post pics. That's a promise.

I really need pics of an NSR circuit board, as the toast unit I have has burned the board and tracks...
