Tipping the scales

How many of you have weighed your bikes? What are average wieghts? Last I checked I was at 275#'s and just read someone claiming to be 220#'s. Is this possible with a NSR? The RS 250 comes in at 220 #'s

Mine weighs 117.5Kg Dry and 134Kg fully Wet.

I know that Matt's Castrol Thailand bike was about 115Kg, but I don't think you could get an NSR down to the 101Kg some people are claiming without removing part of the frame! Laughing

I got 118.5 kg with some oil in it and the tank on reserve. I know I can probably get rid of a few more kilos here and there.

My '16 was weighed at the mot today and tipped the scales at 143kg(320 lbs), half tank of fuel, full oil tank. Always sceptical of manufacturers "dry" weights, they tend to be done with no battery acid, brake fluid or even air in the tyres! Has anyone seen the new zx10? they have hollow brake bolts to help lower the weight!. It makes me laugh to hear people spend £200 on an end can to save 3kg, you could loose that by having a good dump Shocked A friend went on a diet and lost 16kg(36lbs) although titanium expansion chambers look sexy as.... Very Happy
