mc28 rear wheel options?

Sat Jun 24, 2006 10:47 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hey,
I am using an MC28 swingarm for a supermono build. What other wheels fit this hub? Hawk GT? Rs250? I modified a ducati wheel to fit, but i think it might end up being o wide for my application.
Thanks.

I think all the wheels will require some modification, but you should consider modifying the hub, not the wheel. Hawk, VFR400/750/800, MC28 will all fit with modifications. You should not use a RS250 becasue they were designed to run in the opposite direction.

Although Paul at Tyga does run an RS250 wheel on his '28, they are I believe a direct replacement although as stated the radial spokes will be the "wrong way".

I raced an MC28 with the "wrong way round" wheel and never had problems. Paul's had his back to front wheel fitted for several years now.

I was a tad worried at first but was told by the Jap boyz......"Mon dai nai".....No problem.

If it breaks then just write a complaint to HRC as I'm sure they'll send you a swift replacement Wink
