The SP Motor Lives UPDATED

Sun Apr 02, 2006 5:57 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Finally got the SP motor fitted today Very Happy I'm not doing that again Twisted Evil

After having to drop the new engine 3 times because of missing, different and falling out spacers we finally got it bolted in. Then followed much wrestling with power valve cables etc.

Decided to change the chain and sprockets aswell WTF are the inserts in the rear sprocket all about, took about an hour to sort them.

Anyway the motor fired 1st time and sounds sweet, not ridden it yet as it has been pissing down all day, but all should be good now that its got an air filter in it. Rolling Eyes

Finally rode it tonight and all the time and effort has been well worth it. Very Happy

Took a couple of miles to clear it out as it hasent been run for months and we pumped sh*t loads of oil in on its 1st run to make sure the pipes were bled ok. Once cleared out it now goes like a scalded cat. Didnt want to push it too hard though because it was a bit chilly.

I think most of the performance increase is down to putting the air filter in. Rolling Eyes but the new chain and sprockets have smoothed it out no end.

Roll on warmer weather. Very Happy Let me at them R1's Twisted Evil
