Thinking of bodywork to get for my 28 and they pop in mind. Any of you have experience using them? I see it alot of japanese BOTMs Jamie's site. Although i vaguely remember somebody saying that the paintjobs werent that great. I may buy it soon to clean up the 28 a bit.

John

Why bother with silhouette? once a long time ago I got a TSR 250 fairing my my 21 and it fitted with a bit of triming here and there it even used the stock brackets , It was very well priced and very light, would be as it was for a race bike. But nobody else had done it then same goes for seats if you have a little bit of grey matter between your ears anything can fit well.

Go on be different, I fancied a Tz fairing with the double ram scoops and drop down bum but they didnt have it for general releas back then

Push the envelope young man, dont follow the heard

I knew a guy who bought the Silhouette GP500 kit for his Repsol MC28. It fit really rough, needed alot of trimming to fit, and the colors were not a very good match. The Repsol orange was quite a bit off. He ended up sending the whole kit back to them. For that much money, it should have slipped on there cleanly and looked unbelievable. But who knows, maybe he got a lemon.

It was also very thick and heavy. Not what I would want for my bike.

I see. Thanks for the input.
Got any pics of that TZ fairing Luke? I guess it wasn't a lemon since you're not the only source I heard this from Paul. The main reason I thought of silhouette is because its already painted in repsol colors and it retains the stock head light. A plus since I'm running JHA HIDs that use the wierd NSR bulb pattern. This 28 I got here is going to be my street machine, so I'm trying to keep it appearing original. It also had a repsol tank and tail on it already and it feckin 'ard to source the original fairings let alone pay for them. I wish Tyga still did paint. Any ideas guys?

Now my 21, that s gonna be my 'cool' bike. lol Wink
I wanna do the updated tyga treatment or something with a lil funk. Laughing

I like this JHA bodywork alawt!

Is this what u re looking for? They fit very good to my MC28 sp model, but only the two rear down side of two bolts need to re-match..Only thing not good for me is $$$, It has very nice looking and hyper-quality made. I bought at $950 dollar plus shipping from Japan...They don't speak English....

Hung, Your bike looks awesome man! Is that here in the US? So you say it fit well and the paint is good? Looks good to me in the pictures. How much did it cost you to ship it? My friend in japan is going to buy it for me if I decide to go with silhouette. She told be it'll be about $750 for the kit. Plus she has a hook up for shipping it out here. Wink

Thanks man..Yes,,,looks very good:Said by many people....750 dollars is nice, I paid 950 dollars plus shipping to my hand at 2001. They have 2 type body kits, one is like mine and the other one is what the silhouette made in recently of new type. But I like the first model body work, just like mine, because it looks very similar as NSR500V` don't worry about the quality. buy it! you won't be disappionted ..when u ride out with your NSR, peoples' eye can talk to you about your NSR...
