Yes they are apart from the lead lenth as you said.

How are the coil wires attached to the coil? In other words what's involved in changing just the wire?

The HT wires are "bonded" to the coils, and therefore not replaceable in their entireties. You can cut the HT wire close to the coil and use a joiner, but I would seriously recommend against it.

For the cost involved and the possible unreliability, I would just buy new coils and be done with it. It's really not worth the aggro!

Rear coils are available but I cant find front ones. Any ideas?
