best tyre for MC16

Hi all,

Please can anyone tell me what the best tyres are for the MC16. I need road legal, but I don't do a vast amount of miles, so not too bothered about wear rates, I want as much grip as possible without losing stability.

What you need Mat, is a set of MC18 wheels! You could fit 110 and 150 section tyres front and rear then... and a Talon sprocket on the rear!! Wink

Jeff350LC should be along in a minute. I dare say he'll mention MC18 wheels too, as he's done it to his.

Is the MC18 wheel swap easy? ie bolt on, or is there lots of faffing about with machining spcers etc?

Well i fitted a MC18 swinging arm, and MC21 forks Twisted Evil

It all fitted in no trouble at all. I've not seen much stickey rubber in standard MC16 size, so i let Andy talk me in to fitting the later stuff.
Plus the bike looks a lot better with that fat rear tyre.

I put a CBR250 rear wheel on my MC16. Its a 17" inch x 4" wide
Tyres with this setup are:
Both metzeler:
100/80/17 ME33 laser CompK
150/60/17 Rennsport rear
