Workshop Manual

Thu Feb 16, 2006 3:55 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Can someone please tell me why I can only get four pages of the workshop manual from the members only section to open?

Is that all there is?
Am I doing something wrong?

It's a sample of what's coming.

It will be a subscription area (hence the name "Members") to start generating funds for future projects, and to help pay for the increasing costs of running the Site.

Yep, no problem, what you need to do is;

A; Learn to read and speak Japanese
B; Order the NSR manuals from Honda Japan

Hence Andy is translating and scanning them all.

That's a bit sarcastic.. I got that part, I don't mean the whole manual just a source for some other technical info..

I'll do you a genuine Japanese Worksop Manual for UK£50 + shipping.

Yes, I would make something from that, but not a lot.

Now consider the fact that I have bought and shared (for free) information from the following...

MC16~21 workshop manual
MC28 workshop manual
MC16-18 parts manual
MC21 parts manual
MC28 parts manual
MC18 (1988) HRC F3 setup manual
MC18 (1988) HRC F3 parts manual
MC18 (1989) HRC F3 setup manual
MC18 (1989) HRC F3 parts manual
MC21 (1990) HRC F3 HRC manual
MC21 (1992) HRC SS/SP HRC manual
MC21 (1991~93) HRC SS/SP overview manual
MC28 (1994~) HRC SS/SP manual
NSR150SP parts manual
RS125 1993 parts manual
RS250 1989 setup/parts manual
RS250 1990 setup/parts manual
RS250 1991 setup/parts manual

and work out what you think that alone has cost!

Hold on a sec, I think I am being misunderstood here.. I am not trying to discount your or anybody’s efforts here! It is greatly appreciated and I would like to help anyway I can. I am just putting a bike together basically from scratch with a 21 motor and I need all the info I can find. I was just hoping to locate some additional incite. Please do not mistake my questions as any lack of appreciation...

Thanks..
Mark..

I think what ever you want, you'll get here.

Just post here and 99 times out of 100, someone will already have tackled the job, and will help you out. It may sound big-headed, and I don't mean it to, but I don't think you will find better support anywhere else; NSR-WORLD is indeed the World of NSR's! Smile

I'd love to cover more of the 125, 150, and 400 at some point, but the 250 really has become the backbone of the Site.

Hello Andy
Any status on the manual ?

No no, don't hit me !! I'm only asking for a status, not trying to hurry you ;o))

I just looked through my japanese manual and once again felt the need for an english one.

Well I think Andy's being extremely slack. Come on man, get a bloody move on with this manual. I've got to check the NSR's valve clearances and I'm stuck without the manual.

I'm just working on the section containing the valve clearances and camshaft end-float... er, wait a minute... bugger, I've been working on the wrong manual! Shocked

There's two of us working on it now, but it's still going to take time. We don't want to release it until at least the complete MC16 section is finished, then each update section (i.e. MC18 Mk1, MC18 Mk2, and MC21) will be released in turn.

I'm working mainly on the graphics now, and the co-worker on the text. This should help speed things up dramatically.

It's getting a bit serious now though as I just can't get the quality I want by scanning, so I am drawing the diagrams myself...

Andy
Nice drawing and very ambitious but with many of us having the japanese manual already, the translated english text with reference to the original pages, would be a tremendous help

wasn't the MC16 & 18 already done ?

I have a PDF file that covers all pages of the MC21 manual untill page 22-50. I don't remember where I got it, but I think its the one that Nick Thorn once sold which I never got a paper copy of.
