i,ve got a pic of a MC16 with a gull arm on,if i can find it i,ll mail it to you. if i remember right the 21 shock lifts the rear end too high, you will need to make up a linkage to drop it a bit.

I'd go as far as to say this one's got MC21 pipes on as well, but don't quote me on that!

I'm with you Colin. Why bother? MC21's are cheap these days, so just get a whole bike!

But there's just something about the '16... just you wait and see!

BTW, that one already has the wheels and suspension!

The thing is, Motulman has acquired an MC16 that is titled and tagged in California, which isn't always the easiest, and certainly not the cheapest place to get an NSR "legally" on the road.

He managed to get it for a pretty good price by all accounts, and is looking for ways to upgrade both the performance and styling as I understand. Unlike the UK, where an MC21 can sometimes be found for as little as £800, or you can pretty easily and legally have the DVLA change frame numbers for you, he has to work with what he's got.

I personally doubt I'd put a Gull-Arm on an MC16 (in fact, I won't be when I get mine!) but it will get MC21 wheels and front suspension - it only makes sense when you can get the wider 17" wheels and better forks and brakes so cheap, and still keep an original look.

In all the pictures of 16's with gullarms fitted and supposedly 21 shocks why is the back jacked up?i offered up a gullarm into my 18 and that too was jacked up but i had left the 18 shock in,so i got a 21 shock but hav'nt fitted it yet but i thought the 21 shock would bring the backend back down, will it?is the 21 shock longer or shorter than the 16/18? Confused
